Majesty Outdoors Visits the USS Lexington

Sometimes God uses an adventure to create an opportunity for something much bigger.

Recently, our Tide Changers had the incredible opportunity to spend the night aboard the USS Lexington as part of the Camp LEX Overnight Adventure. It was a night filled with history, exploration, friendship, and memories we hope will stay with these young men for years to come.

But at Majesty Outdoors, the adventure itself is only part of the story.

Our mission is to use experiences like these to build meaningful relationships between mentors and fatherless youth—relationships rooted in the love of Christ and built with the hope of pointing the next generation toward Him.

A Night Aboard the USS Lexington

Spending the night aboard an aircraft carrier isn't something you get to do every day.

Camp LEX gave our Tide Changers the opportunity to step aboard a piece of American history, explore the USS Lexington, learn together, and experience something completely outside of their normal routine.

There was plenty to see and plenty to do, but some of the most important moments weren't necessarily part of the itinerary.

They were the conversations between a mentor and a young person. The laughter between friends. The opportunity to learn something new together. The simple act of being present.

These are the moments when relationships grow.

More Than an Adventure

At Majesty Outdoors, we believe God can use the outdoors, adventure, and shared experiences to open doors for mentorship and discipleship.

Our mentors aren't simply there to take young people fishing, hunting, camping, or on an overnight trip. They are there to walk alongside them, encourage them, demonstrate what it means to live with integrity, and ultimately point them toward Jesus Christ.

Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 27:17:

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

That kind of influence doesn't happen overnight. It is built through consistency, trust, time, and a willingness to show up.

An adventure like Camp LEX gives our mentors another opportunity to do exactly that.

Memories That Can Last a Lifetime

Our Tide Changers were able to explore, learn, strengthen friendships, and experience an unforgettable night together aboard the USS Lexington.

Years from now, they may not remember every detail about the ship.

But we hope they remember who was standing beside them.

We hope they remember the mentor who listened to them, encouraged them, laughed with them, challenged them, prayed for them, and continued showing up.

Most importantly, we pray those relationships help them understand that there is a Heavenly Father who loves them, knows them, and has never forgotten them.

That's the heart behind what we do.

The adventure may get a young person's attention, but the relationship creates an opportunity to share something far greater—the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Thank You for Making This Possible

Experiences like this wouldn't be possible without people who believe in these young people and in the mission of Majesty Outdoors.

We are incredibly grateful for the generous grant that made this adventure possible and gave our Tide Changers the opportunity to experience Camp LEX.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the USS Lexington and Camp LEX teams for welcoming our group and creating such a memorable experience.

Your generosity provided far more than an overnight trip. You helped create an environment where relationships could grow, conversations could happen, and seeds could be planted that we pray God will continue to use long after this adventure.

The Adventure Continues

The USS Lexington was one night.

Mentorship is a journey.

Majesty Outdoors remains committed to walking alongside fatherless youth, surrounding them with Christ-centered mentors, and creating experiences where meaningful relationships can grow.

We believe God can use something as simple as a fishing trip, an outdoor adventure, a conversation—or even a night aboard an aircraft carrier—to change the direction of a young person's life.

And we are grateful to everyone who helps make those moments possible.

Join Majesty Outdoors in our mission to reach fatherless youth, build Christ-centered relationships, and point the next generation toward the hope found in Jesus.
